Solar Food Processing and Conservation intends to establish a global network of interested parties (NGO’s, politicians, farmers, and experts), that will aim to gather, further develop and promote efficient methods of solar food processing and conservation. For more information see here.

Solar Food Processing and Conservation is a project co-ordinated by the International Solar Energy Society (ISES). The project is financially supported by WISIONS (http://www.wisions.net), an initiative of the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy, organised with the support of the Swiss-based foundation ProEvolution, to foster practical sustainable energy projects.

Scheffler Reflector Construction Course in Switzerland, 5 - 30 April 2010
Adrian Konrad will lead this 4 week course in the construction of a 2.7 sqm Scheffler Reflector. The course is taking place in Scherzingen, Switzerland and is limited to 6 participants. Course content includes theory, practice and history. To learn more please contact info (@)sunsationalcookers.com. International Solar Food Conference - Full proceedings and Conference Resolution Available
The full conference proceedings, the conference resolution and the new solar food brochures are available on the International Solar Food Processing Conference website. The Conference took place from 14 - 16 January 2009 in Indore,

New Solar Food Processing Brochure Available:
The second brochure on Solar Food Processing best practice examples is now available to download in English here. The brochure portrays several solar food processing projects presented at the International Solar Food Processing Conference 2009. We are looking for volunteers and donations to help translate the brochure into different languages and to help support the costs of printing this valuable dissemination tool. If you are interested in helping please contact solarfood@ises.org.

Solar Cookers World Network (SCWnet)
The Solar Cookers International Association (SCIA) was renamed the Solar Cookers World Network (SCWNet) following the International Solar Food Processing Conference 2009.
