Welcome to ISES Online BookShop! If you visit or shop at the ISES Online BookShop, you accept these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. In addition, when you use any current or future ISES Online BookShop service, you also will be subject to the guidelines and conditions applicable to such service or business.

PRIVACY

We at ISES know and respect that how information about you is used and shared is important to you. ISES is committed to protecting your privacy and we will only use your contact details for the purpose of fulfilling your order. We will not under any circumstances forward your contact information, or any other information you share with us, to any third parties without your explicit permission.

We receive and store contact information you enter on our Web site or provide us in any other way, such as e-mail. Examples of what we collect include your mailing and e-mail address. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, i.e. processing your order and communicating with you.

ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

When you visit the ISES Online BookShop or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by e-mail. You agree that all agreements, notices, invoices, receipts and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

COPYRIGHT

All content included on this site, such as the ISES logo and button icons, is the property of ISES. The compilation of all content on this site is the exclusive property of ISES.

YOUR ACCOUNT

For ISES Members, your ISES BookShop account user name and password is the same as your ISES user name and password. If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. ISES reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in their sole discretion.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

ISES strives to be as accurate as possible. However, ISES does not guarantee that product descriptions or other content of this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free.

PRICING

The Regular Price displayed for products on our website represents the retail price by the publisher or supplier. The ISES Member Price is at least 10% off the Regular Price. For certain items offered as a set or special deal this may not explicitly apply, as these items are offered on discount or sale prices. Prices do not include shipping and handling.

ISES offers you two options for shipping your order, normal or airmail. The shipping costs will be calculated based on which option you choose and the final weight of your order. Prices vary between customers in European Union countries[1] and those in the rest of Europe and the world (i.e. European Union and world shipping rates). Your shipping costs will be calculated automatically based on your address. Handling (i.e packaging) costs are included in the shipping price.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

ISES offers you two different payment options: credit card, either electronically or via fax; or bank transfer. Please read below for details of each method.

• Credit Card

  Our secure server will encrypt all the data entered by you into our credit card form. You need a browser that supports Secure Socket Layer (SSL) – e.g. Netscape or Microsoft Explorer. Our unique and distinctive key is licensed from Thawte. This ensures a secure data transmission through the Internet.

  If you would rather not entrust your credit card information to the web, you may also provide your information to us via fax at +49 761 45906 99. Once we have received your credit card details we will process you order.

  In order to increase the security of our customers' data we never store credit card information on our webserver. As soon as you press Continue the number is forwarded to a system that is not connected to the Internet. The information is completely removed from our database as soon as we have verified your payment.

• Bank Transfer

  Payment with bank transfer can be done through the ISES Euro account, or in the equivalent amount in USD to the USD Account. Payments must be free of bank charges to ISES. Please be sure to include your name and invoice number with any payments.

FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS

As a rule, ISES does not accept credit card payments from first time ISES Online BookShop customers for orders over Euro 100. First time customers must pay via bank transfer. ISES does this as a precautionary measure, to prevent loss from false or stolen credit cards. After ISES receives confirmation of payment via bank transfer, your order will be processed.

After you have concluded your order on the ISES Online BookShop, ISES will receive notification of your order and payment method. You will receive an electronic invoice immediately after you confirm your order.

If you pay via credit card and have provided ISES with your credit card details in the secure server or via fax, we will bill your credit card the next business day (Central European Time). Then your order will be packaged and sent to you according to the shipping option you have chosen.

For bank transfers, once we have received confirmation of payment, your order will be packaged and sent to you with the shipping option you have chosen.

ISES Online Bookshop orders are usually processed within one week.

Claims will only be accepted if submitted in writing (via e-mail to publications@ises.org) on the following basis:

• Damages must be notified within 14 days of invoice date for orders with express shipping or within 6 weeks for orders with normal shipping.
• Non delivery must be notified within 14 days of invoice date for orders with express shipping or within 6 weeks for orders with normal shipping.

Damaged items may not be returned without authorization, see below for details about returns.

All returns must be authorized with ISES Headquarters before credit can be considered. ISES will not credit the costs incurred in the return of items if prior authorisation has not been obtained.

You may return items within 14 days for express orders or 6 weeks for regular orders of delivery for a full refund, provided the items are:

• returned in good condition (condition that permits the full value resale),
• still be distributed by ISES at the time of authorisation for return,
• and be supported by a valid account and invoice number.

ISES does not accept returns on special or sale items, unless incorrect or defective.

ISES will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.), otherwise the return shipping costs will be borne by the customer.

SITE POLICIES AND MODIFICATION

ISES reserves the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these Terms and Conditions at any time.

ISES is not responsible for the content of any external links, not related to ISES, listed on the ISES Online BookShop website or the ISES websites.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms and conditions shall be governed by German Law under the Freiburg District Court (Amtsgericht Freiburg).
